Arbuthnot Museum is one of Aberdeenshire’s oldest museums, and is home to displays of Peterhead's fishing, shipping and whaling past.

Discover the wealth of Peterhead's rich maritime history in one of Aberdeenshire's oldest museums which has been around for over 125 years.

On display are model boats showing the development of Peterhead’s fishing fleet. The museum is also home to an important Inuit collection, Arctic animals including a polar bear, whaling memorabilia, and photographs of Peterhead and the surrounding area.

There is a changing programme of temporary exhibitions which often include fun activities for families. The museum is also a popular destination for school groups.
